Pine Sol, Anyone?

I've been reading over these posts, and it occurs to me that my blog is boring, if not shallow. Since I became a SAHM six years ago, my world has narrowed. I used to listen to NPR every morning on the way to work, and the way home, read the paper at lunch. I was Informed, by golly.
Now, I rarely listen to NPR, rarely read the paper, and never watch TV news, as it tends toward the infotainment or sensationalist side.
So, it's one of those situations where I'm like, "Oh? There was a war in Lebanon?" because my focus tends to be more on the state of the house, dishes, laundry, car, and garage than the state of the Union. I'm turning into a Stepford Wife!
p.s. As evidence of the Stepforditude, I just finished composing on ode to laundry, and then deleted it as too boring.
